Government bans 4 countries including Afghanistan for foreign employment
The Government of Nepal has decided to ban four countries including Afghanistan for foreigh employment. Government has taken this decision after the suicide bomb attack which took place in Kabul which killed 13 Nepalese workers in June 20.
The meeting held by the Council of Ministers this thursday has taken the decision to cancel the labor clearance to Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya till further notice.
The government had opened the labor clearance to certain region of Afghanistan in the year 2015-2016. Till now 8614 Nepalese workers have been in Afghanistan legally according to the government statistics. It has been estimated thet more than 10 thousand Nepalese workers are working at Afghanistan illegally.
The meeting also decided to provide 100 thousand Rupees as compensation to the family members of Kabul victim. The government also directed Ministry of Labor to organise investigation about Kabul incident.
The dead bodies of the 12 persons were brought to Kathmandu Wednesday and handed over to the respective family members.
The body of Chyangba Tamang will be brought tomorrow. He was reported dead while undergoing treatment at Afghanistan.
