Online Media Operation Directive introduced
The government on Sunday made open the 'Online Media Operation Directive 2073' aiming to regulate the mushrooming online medias.
The order was scrutinized by media specialists and different association working for the welfare of journalists before its presentation. The order expresses that the government will close the online media that are not enrolled with the government body, or have neglected to restore their licenses , or working wrongfully.
Also, the mandate further expresses that any online media that run unconfirmed news without authority sources and misdirecting substance can be closed down.
"The authorities can close down the media if the news published by them makes unfavorable circumstance," as indicated by the mandate.
